Sampaguita Jay Store is a luxury artwear house built from a tattoo artist’s language; line, instinct, discipline and from a personal decision: to create without having to prove.
Sampaguita Jay is a Filipino-French tattoo artist. Drawing was her first language. Long before the needle, there was movement: sketching, training, repetition, the slow refining of gesture into intention. Over time, tattooing became a practice of translation, turning other people’s stories into symbols they could carry on their skin.
After more than a decade of tattooing, a quiet shift arrived.
Not a rejection of the past, an evolution of it.
A desire to step slightly out of the spotlight and still be present.
A desire to create for herself, not only for the narratives of others.
A desire to speak in a way that felt safer, more spacious, more hers.
Textile became that new language.
Clothing can be intimate without being exposed.
Visible without being invasive.
A place where identity can live in motion.. without explanation.

We live between states more often than we admit. We hold contradictions: confidence and doubt, clarity and confusion, solitude and connection. Sampaguita Jay Store exists for people who recognize that tension and don’t want to flatten themselves to fit a single label.

A “binary and non-binary” language at once: structure and fluidity, edge and calm, precision and intuition; where identity isn’t fixed, but continuously evolving.

Lunar speaks to transformation: the power of silent change; what happens inside, away from the eyes of the world, where true metamorphosis begins.

The garments are made for repeat life: everyday rotation, studio days, city nights, long walks, hard resets. Minimal where it needs to be. Mythic where it matters.
Craft and discipline
Behind every piece is a simple principle: let the work hold.
Fit, structure, and material matter. Prints are placed with deliberation. The goal is presence, clean and exact.. without sacrificing the lived-in reality of clothing.
Our silhouettes lean oversized and modern: room to breathe, room to move, room to exist without constraint. This is a visual language shaped by the artist’s background, gesture, line, balance, restraint.
Editions: Standard and Signed
Our collections are released as Standard and, when available, Signed editions.
A Signed piece is hand-signed before shipping (and individually numbered when stated). It sits between artwork and garment; made for those who want to wear meaning, not just a design.
